Keeping it weird in Austin and visiting San Antonio

I don’t know why Austin claims to be weird, it seemed pretty artsy cool and made a lot of sense to me! From experiencing a great downtown experience to the yummiest burger (at Hopp Daddy’s) and tacos (Torchy’s Taco truck) I’ve ever had! I think if I broke it down to all our good memories from Austin it all comes down to really good food (and drinks) from the awesome friends visits and really enjoying the dining experience with my family (Veronica’s) in an Argentinian restaurant on E. 6th street. Also can’t forget  the most amazing views of Lake Travis at the Oasis Restaurant. And last but not least we found it comical to try Via 313 which claims to offer “authentic” 313 Detroit style pizza, When we are actually from Detroit ourselves. 🙂

While there we took road trips to San Antonio, TX, walked and enjoyed outdoor seating and people watched on River Walk. Then on another family trip we hiked Stone Mountain and enjoyed the views.

We were also so lucky to have good friends and my brother Juan come and visit and share a great weekend full of memories with us, walking around seeing the sights and having some good drinks while enjoying each others company. It was a nice break from rainy weather season!  We didn’t get to see the bridge bats though.. oh well.. maybe next time!
